First Daisy Meeting a SUCCESS!!

Wow what a fun time I had with all of the awesome little Daisies today. I hope they all had fun- I had requests for more crafts (I guess 2 wasn't enough).

We were so thankful for Mr. Scott who came and spoke to the group about how important it is to thank the troops. The girls'cards were awesome and we will be sending them off to Arizona this week for the Card Project. I just hope the ink came off the girls' easily.

Just a quick reminder to get in camp money- checks can be made to Julie. You can mail them directly to her if you like.

Our next meeting is Monday, Nov. 14th at 4:30.  Again, lots of fun things will be happening plus Ms. Julie will be back with us. The girls will need their Daisy pins than so we can officially pin them. Ms. Julie and I will get pinned as leaders the first weekend in November so than we will all official.

I also want to thank Mary and Averie for the awesome snacks. The girls all seem to enjoy the treats and who would have thought we could get ten girls quiet.

I created a page of our Daisies so we can see how they all looked on the first meeting. We are planning on working on a scrapbook at meetings, so the girls have a great memento to take away from their first year of scouts.

Daisy Dancers

The first group had a blast at the Dance Gemz class this past Saturday. The second group is getting excited to attend on the 6th of November.

Our troop is signed up for the Dance Gemz Petal Class on both the dates offered. 

For the Saturday, Oct. 22 class the participants are:

Emily, Averie, Ashley, Ava, Emy, and Taylor

For the Sunday, Nov. 6 class the participants are:

Olivia, Megan, and Katie

If I missed anyone, let me know and I will add them on.  Miss Julie will be at the Oct. 22 class and I will be at the Nov. 6 one. See you there!!!

Troop 26400 First Official Troop Meeting- Monday, Oct. 24th

Yep it is here- our first troop meeting for Troop 26400. We are so excited to be able to kick off our troop year with our first meeting. We have some great things planned for the meeting.

Time: 4:30p.m.
Location: 2115 Castle Dr (Come like you came to the Parent meeting but continue past the park down to Castle Dr. Take a right and we are on the right hand side of the street - I have big pumpkins hanging in my tree). Please call if you need directions, etc. (409-370-0173).


A few things for you all to bring to the first meeting:

Your dues (You can choose to either bring the full dues of $40 or $20 for the fall dues or even $5 for the month of October).  We will keep track and remind you if you choose option 2 or 3.

Any unfinished paperwork we don't have yet.

Payment for the Camporee (Make checks out to Julie Lister - $12 per participant).

Your Daisy Journey's book. We will be working on the Girl Scout Promise that is listed inside the journey book.

We will have a guest speaker that will coordinate with our first craft project. This craft project will also be a service project for the girls.

Our Snack is provided by Mary and Averie. Our Mom helper is also Mary.

Fall Camporee

Ms. Julie sent out an email for the Camporee that is coming up the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Here is a link to the Service Unit site with more information: http://bayareagirlscouts.scoutlander.com/publicsite/unitcustom.aspx?UID=11884&CUSTOMID=41364

The fees for the Saturday all day camp experience is $12 per Scout and $12 per parent.

Hopefully everyone can make and lets hope that it stays dry!!!!

Not-So-scOUTDOOR Event

Well our first official Daisy gathering with the girls was a washout!!! Even though it poured, I think we all had some fun- more so when we got home and out of our wet clothes. I did get some pictures of the girls. I plan on taking individual pictures of all the girls at our first meeting too.  Enjoy the photos!

Great Parent Meeting

What an awesome turnout for our Parent's meeting tonight. The girls had a blast and hopefully all feel quickly to sleep.

I updated the Snack Sign up page  and Meeting Mom schedule with all of the dates that you each signed up for. Thank you so much for helping out with that. We really appreciate it.

We know we threw lots of information at you all today, so please if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask us.  Also if you didn't get your paperwork in tonight, please get it to us as soon as possible.

We look forward to see you at the scOUTDOOR adventure this weekend and than with our regular meeting on Oct. 24th.
